Judy Blame X Basquiat

Gian Armstrong

Judy Blame, accessories designer, art director, and fashion stylist. He was known for his punk style integrating it throughout his work. The gloomy, edgy look was a hit for many.

American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, rising to success in the 1980s was part of the Neo-expressionism movement. His work is bold, eye-catching, and has regarded him as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

These series of images show contrast between the dark, grunge aesthetic of Blame and the bright colour pops and graffiti art medium of Basquiat. They make for a polar opposite but still cohesive theme.
